In 1981 Jim Blythe and Leslie Graham decided to create a partnership in the Fastener industry. During the next 20 years they took a blossoming company to a new level of service and dedication to their customers. In 2004, Scott Graham took over for Leslie who retired after a wonderfully successful career. Scott had a dream of expanding the reach of Tri-State to other areas. He and Jim have since opened another branch in Worcester, and have established partner vendor warehouses in Chicago, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, and California.

In 2011 Tri-State grew up in the virtual world, taking what was a "contact-us" home page to an e-commerce web-site full of information and products so that Tri-State can further expand their reach. www.tristatefast.com
